About Us
Still Detox is a boutique drug and alcohol detox and residential treatment center in Boca Raton, Florida, and part of Still Behavioral Health Group. The facility provides medically supervised detox and residential addiction treatment for adults aged 18 and older with substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. The center operates a 14-bed facility with private room options, 24/7 nursing, and a Medical Director evaluation within 24 hours of admission. The center is accredited by The Joint Commission, licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families, certified by LegitScript, and verified by Psychology Today. Still Detox has operated in Boca Raton since 2021.
The mission of Still Behavioral Health Group is to provide world-class treatment that guides people struggling with behavioral health conditions into a new mind, body, and spirit. The program centers on medical stabilization and compassionate supervision, with a recovery path tailored to each client.
Detox is treated as the first step, not the destination. Every plan is built to support a safe transition from acute withdrawal into residential healing, using detox as a springboard for full recovery.

Levels Of Care
Two levels of care are available: medically supervised detox and residential (inpatient) treatment. Detox runs 7 to 10 days on average with 24/7 nursing support, and residential care runs up to 30 days of structured daily clinical programming.
Detox admissions are managed any day of the week based on medical necessity. The detox phase averages 7 to 10 days and may extend to 14 days for complex withdrawal, with a typical step-down into residential care around day 8.
Residential treatment is capped at 30 days and includes 5.5 to 6 hours of clinical programming each day, individualized therapy, and structured support for people navigating substance use, mental health symptoms, and dual diagnosis.
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is available as a specialized component of care, including medication management, taper oversight, and clinical review for medical flags.
Family sessions are offered by telehealth when in-person attendance is not possible, and weekly therapy is provided whenever family support is available. Clients with limited family involvement are supported through individualized care planning.
Aftercare
Discharge planning begins at admission. Each client is connected to the next level of care, including partial hospitalization (PHP) referrals, local and national community resources, sober-living options, and primary-care coordination, so progress made in detox and residential treatment carries into lasting sobriety.
Aftercare planning addresses housing, employment, and recovery support, with referrals coordinated before discharge. Voluntary on-site 12-step meetings are available, and medication and primary-care plans transfer with each client to support relapse prevention.
What We Treat
The center treats substance use disorders that require medical detox, including alcohol, benzodiazepine, opioid, and kratom dependence, plus stimulant and novel-substance use that needs residential stabilization. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated through integrated dual diagnosis care.
Substances requiring a medical taper, such as alcohol, benzodiazepines, and opioids, are managed with monitored withdrawal and individualized taper schedules. Stimulants such as crack cocaine, methamphetamine, and prescription stimulants including Adderall, along with novel psychoactive substances such as 2C and MDMA, are supported through residential stabilization rather than medical detox.
Direct admissions are available for clients who do not require medical detox but benefit from residential care. Treatment combines evidence-based clinical therapies with voluntary 12-step resources. Still Detox offers 12-step programming as a psychoeducational component rather than the primary treatment model, so no client is required to participate.
The People Behind Your Care
Still Detox care is led by Clinical Director Shannon Wagner, Medical Director Dr. Gladys Martinez, and Director of Nursing Britney Marshall, RN, supported by 24/7 nursing and complete bilingual staffing in English and Spanish. A Medical Director evaluates every client in person within 24 hours of admission.
Clinical Director
Directs clinical programming and pre-screening, with 10 years in addiction treatment.
Medical Director
Oversees medical care and evaluates every client within 24 hours of admission.
Director of Nursing
Leads 24/7 nursing and day-to-day medical support.
Who We Serve
Adults aged 18 and older with substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions are served in a co-ed setting. The center accepts clients from across Florida and nationwide, and accommodates populations many facilities turn away.
Care is individualized to each client's medical and personal circumstances, with accommodations that set Still Detox apart from larger programs.
Facility & Safety
The facility offers 14 beds with private room options and full medical quarantine capability for infectious diseases, including COVID-19.
The facility maintains two private rooms in detox and two private rooms in residential care, delivering a more discreet and focused environment than larger programs.
Nursing coverage runs 24/7. At all times the facility staffs a minimum of 2 techs or 1 nurse plus 1 tech, and maintains residential staffing ratios of 1:3 to 1:4 against the 1:8 state requirement, with a minimum 1:7 ratio in detox.
Accreditations & Licensing
Still Detox is accredited by The Joint Commission, licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families, certified by LegitScript, and verified by Psychology Today. Each credential is issued by a separate oversight body and is verifiable through that body's public directory.
The Joint Commission is an independent nonprofit organization that accredits health care organizations in the United States against national quality and patient safety standards. The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) licenses substance use treatment providers operating in Florida. LegitScript certifies addiction treatment providers that meet its transparency and legitimacy standards. Psychology Today verifies provider licensure and credentials before listing a facility in its directory.

Location
Still Detox is located at 950 NW 9th Ct, Boca Raton, Florida 33486, on the University Hospital campus, adjacent to Boca Raton Regional Hospital. The center accepts clients from across Florida and nationwide, with travel coordination for out-of-state admissions.
The hospital-campus setting keeps emergency medical services immediately accessible during acute withdrawal. For out-of-state clients, geographic separation from a home environment is an evidence-based advantage that supports early recovery.
Insurance & Payment
The center is an out-of-network provider that works with many PPO plans using out-of-network benefits. The admissions team verifies your specific coverage before admission, and self-pay and payment-plan options are available. The center does not accept Medicaid or Medicare.
Verifying your benefits takes only a few minutes and places you under no obligation. Submitting a request is not a guarantee of coverage or admission.
By submitting, you consent to be contacted about treatment. Submitting an insurance check is not a guarantee of coverage or admission.
Admissions
Treatment at Still Detox begins with one call to the admissions team at (561) 556-2677. Admissions are scheduled any day of the week based on medical necessity, and one admissions representative stays with each client from first contact through arrival.
A pre-assessment call takes place within three days of the admission date and covers substance use history, current medications, and medical necessity. The admissions team verifies insurance benefits, coordinates travel, and confirms clinical approval before an admission date is set. On arrival a technician and a nurse complete intake together, and a Medical Director evaluates every client in person within 24 hours.
